Did you get a carfax vehicle report before you purchased your truck? If you got your truck from a major dealership, and not one of those roadside dealers, they should have given you a history report. My partner purchases a 1998 GMC Sonoma back in 2000, and that truck was a lemon, and the kicker is, she got it off the major dealership lots. You can do it yourself by going to www.carfax.com, but you will have to pay a little fee though. I hope this helps, and there should be some kind of lemon law in every state, but each state is different.
Hey, you bought a 7 year old vec. and not one of the better ones. I'll bet if you look at the paper work on it you will find the words "Sold as is" !!!! Have a nice day.
No state I'm aware of has a lemon law applicable to used cars. Can you define "runs like crap"? If you want the vehicle history, go to Carfax.com and get it yourself. The Dealer may not have the repair history to give you. How do you know the "bracks" are bad? Because it doesn't stop as fast as you'd like? Doesn't mean there's anything wrong.Have you taken it to another shop for a second opinion. No media will care, and you have no grounds for a suit.
Take it to another shop, be realistic, and I'm sure it'll be fine.
