I settled out of court with an automaker, due to lemon law, and I was wondering if anyone knew?

how long they have to pay me the settlement. I was told September 25, 2008 and I have not been informed to bring the original lemon back to the dealership or about my award. I would think they have a certain time to settle it. My lawyer is out when I call, the secretary doesn't know how long they take.

I had a friend in the same situation. Nothing you can do to speed things up, the process is v-e-r-y s-l-o-w. You have a lawyer for a reason, let he/she take care of it. Your lawyer doesn't get paid until you do, he'll push them when they need it. DO NOT abandon the car at a dealership or anywhere else.
