It means there is something wrong with the vehicle that impairs the use, value, OR safety of the newly purchased motor vehicle and the seller has tried (3,4,5) or more times to fix the same issue to your satisfaction and you still have a complaint.
Lemon laws differ from state to state, so this may not apply where you live, but in general...
Lemon Laws state that if a new car has a SAFETY RELATED defect, and the car dealer or manufacturer cannot fix the problem within a reasonable period of time, then the manufacturer has to buy the car back from you. There are usually several conditions that must be met by both parties, and these also differ from state to state.
Lemon laws usually do not apply to used cars (or trucks,) but if you can prove, in court, that your truck is defective and the person who sold it to you knew it was defective, then you may be able to sue them for selling you a defective vehicle.
I believe the same thing needs to go wrong over and over again. It has to be within a certain time frame.
