Is there a way to find out what happened to a "Lemon-Law" car?

Several years ago, I bought a 2001 Mazda Protege' that turned out to be a lemon.

Accordingly, I was able to get rid of the car via Michigan's Lemon Law.

The car then sat behind the dealership for about 8 months.

After that, I don't know what became of it.

Is there some way to track it's whereabouts?

I DO have the VIN code, as well.

Any thoughts, friends?

In California the dealership can resale the car but must disclose that it was returned by a prior owner as a lemon. In at least one case (according to my lawyer) there was a car resold without disclosing that information to the buyer. The dealership replaced the manager there. Not really a solution in my opinion.

In the 1st. place, why do you care. I'm sure that you received a new car or either your money back. If you feel that you have some type roots here, you can contact your local DMV office or if your insurance guy is your buddy, ask him to run a K.S.R. for you, (title search)...Good Luck !!

Call the manufacturer.
