Help, please? He put so much effort into my gift... what to do?!?

Oh my gosh, well, my boyfriend (recently best friend, we just started dating), Nathaniel went to California, and I really missed him, so today, when I came home from school, he was at my house, to surprise me, and he was like, "I got you something from California!" He got me this amazing light pink beret with a sparkly lemon yellow flower in it, and this like, metallic purple jacket, and he painted the "Hollywood" sign and the hills behind it on a canvas (he's a really amazing artist), and I told him I was going to hang it in my room. I'm very into the whole blitzy, Hollywood stuff. That's my room theme... Hollywood. Also, his birthday went by when he was in CA, so I got him a gift. I got him these red and black checkered pants, and a black and white plaid scarf (Like, the folded kind... I don't know how to describe it), and Acrylic paints (like, really nice one.) Oh, and he's metro... really into fashion and everything, so this is a normal thing that someone would give to hi
m. And please, no comments about him being metro... Anyways, I feel bad because he spent so long working on that painting for me, in addition to buying the clothes, and I just went out and bought him his gift. I know he put a lot of thought and effort into that painting... I don't know what to do... I was thinking of painting him something too... I'm pretty good at painting, too, but not nearly as good as him. I don't know what to do, though. And I don't want to "steal his idea." I know that sounds very juvenile, the way I put that, but you know what I'm saying... I wanna be original... I don't know what to do, though? Help, please?

ok well you should like write a list of like 3 pages of everything you like about him or something and on those pages you can draw like stick figures or real artsy drawings or whatever of like something cheesy like you and him holding hands or something lol.

Well, you should get a canvas and make everyone sigh it, like everyone in his old class + you. If you dont like that, get a picture of you and him, then buy a frame that you can decorate, go all out with it, HAVE FUN! GooddLuck:)

ask him on a little date to go out and eat or like a walk through the park.

If you want to be original then copying his idea is not good. I'm sure he was just as pleased with your present anyway. Perhaps you could write him a poem or something.

Take some cool photographs and make an album or scrap book.

get him a postcard from your town and say, i really missed you, or something cheesy like that

if you know him well, than you should just make or buy something tht u think he will like

give him a kiss or a date

do somthein he'll like
