Can I get a pro rated refund on rent paid?

I paid for one full month for a three month sublet, however, after one week I had to leave, the walls are paper thin and its very noisy I can't sleep. I requested a pro-rated refund, am I crazy to think I could get it back?

Is there some kind of Lemon Law for renting in CA?

It was a sub-let for a full three months. You paid for one month and you did not give your 30 day notice to move. Getting a refund would be out of the question. The real question would be are they going to sue you for the rent of the other 2 months.

It really depends on your landlord.
